CCTV System Design, Installation & Maintenance

NDAA Compliant

TG Baker designs and installs IP video surveillance systems that deliver evidence-grade recording, real-time analytics and remote monitoring. Every system we specify is NDAA-compliant, built on trusted hardware, and engineered for the operational demands of multi-site estates.

Overview

IP video surveillance
and analytics

Modern CCTV is far more than a recording device. An IP-based surveillance system transmits high-resolution video over structured network cabling, supports intelligent analytics at the camera or server level, and stores footage in formats that meet evidential standards. TG Baker specifies and installs these systems for clients who need reliable, accountable video coverage across one site or many.

We work with manufacturers including Dallmeier, whose Panomera multifocal sensor technology allows a single mounting point to cover large open areas, such as stadium bowls or car parks, at consistent resolution. This reduces camera counts, simplifies cabling and lowers long-term maintenance costs. Where standard fixed or PTZ cameras are more appropriate, we specify accordingly.

Analytics capabilities include people counting, line crossing, loitering detection and automatic number plate recognition (ANPR). These functions are configured during commissioning and tuned to reduce false alerts. Video management software provides a single interface for live viewing, playback, alarm handling and evidence export.

Our process

Survey, design,
install, maintain

We follow a structured process: survey, design, install, commission, maintain. The survey establishes camera locations, field-of-view requirements, lighting conditions and network infrastructure. Our engineers produce detailed design drawings showing camera positions, cable routes, switch locations and server specifications.

Installation is carried out by our in-house cabling and commissioning teams. We install structured cabling to BS EN 50173, terminate and test every run, and configure cameras, switches and recording servers on site. Commissioning includes image quality verification at each camera position, analytics tuning and a full system handover with as-built documentation.

We offer ongoing maintenance contracts covering firmware updates, camera cleaning, recording health checks and hardware replacement. Remote monitoring services are available for clients who require 24/7 oversight without on-site security staff.

Compliance

NDAA compliance and
data security

The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) prohibits the use of video surveillance equipment from certain manufacturers in government and critical infrastructure. TG Baker specifies only NDAA-compliant hardware. This applies to cameras, encoders, NVRs and any embedded components.

Beyond hardware compliance, we configure systems to meet GDPR requirements for video data handling, including retention policies, access controls, encryption in transit and at rest, and audit logging. All documentation is included in project handovers.

Where we work

Trusted across
every sector

TG Baker installs CCTV systems in stadia, commercial office buildings, NHS trusts, universities, retail parks, industrial estates and public-sector properties. We manage multi-site deployments where a central control room monitors dozens of locations through a single platform. We also deliver single-site installations for smaller commercial clients who need reliable, compliant coverage without unnecessary complexity.

FAQ

Common questions

What does NDAA-compliant CCTV mean?
The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) prohibits the use of video surveillance equipment from certain manufacturers in government and critical infrastructure. NDAA-compliant means all cameras, encoders, NVRs and embedded components are from approved manufacturers.
Can CCTV cameras provide analytics such as people counting?
Yes. Modern IP cameras support analytics including people counting, line crossing detection, loitering alerts and automatic number plate recognition (ANPR). These are configured during commissioning and tuned to reduce false alerts.
Do you offer remote CCTV monitoring?
Yes. TG Baker offers remote monitoring services for clients who require 24/7 oversight without on-site security staff. Video management software provides live viewing, playback, alarm handling and evidence export from a central interface.
