Commercial Audio System Installation

Dante Enabled

TG Baker designs, installs and maintains professional audio systems for commercial and public-sector environments across the UK. Every system is engineered for reliable coverage, clear intelligibility and simple day-to-day operation.

Overview

Distributed audio, paging
and conferencing

Our audio systems cover distributed speakers, background music (BGM), paging, conferencing and AV integration. Whether a building needs discreet ceiling speakers for a reception area or a full zoned audio network across a multi-storey campus, the system is designed around the space, not a product catalogue.

We work with Dante-enabled equipment as standard. Dante networking carries uncompressed audio over standard IP infrastructure, removing the need for heavy analogue cabling runs. This makes systems easier to expand, simpler to fault-find and less expensive to install in both new-build and retrofit projects.

Paging and conferencing are integrated into the same network where required. A single control interface can manage BGM zones, live announcements and meeting room audio without separate systems running in parallel.

Our process

Design, install,
commission, maintain

Design. We survey the site, model coverage requirements and specify equipment to suit the acoustic environment. Speaker placement, amplifier loading and network topology are documented before any cable is pulled.

Install. Our in-house engineers carry out all cabling, containment and equipment mounting. Dante networks are configured on structured Cat cabling, keeping infrastructure clean and future-proof.

Commission. Every zone is tested for coverage and intelligibility. Gain structures are set, DSP processing is tuned and the system is handed over with full documentation and operator training.

Maintain. We offer planned maintenance contracts covering periodic testing, firmware updates, fault response and spare parts management. Issues are logged, tracked and resolved by the same team that installed the system.

Compliance

Standards and
accreditations

Audio systems are designed in line with relevant acoustic standards and building regulations. Where paging integrates with voice alarm, we ensure full compliance with BS 5839-8 and EN 54-16. Dante networks follow AES67 interoperability standards for reliable, low-latency audio transport.

All installations are carried out to current IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and under our SSAIB and NSI accreditations.

Where we work

Trusted across
every sector

We install and maintain audio systems in stadia, commercial offices, NHS hospitals and clinics, education facilities, retail environments and industrial sites. The same engineering approach applies to a 60,000-seat stadium and a 200-person office building. The scale changes, the standards do not.

FAQ

Common questions

What is a Dante-enabled audio system?
Dante is a networking protocol that carries uncompressed audio over standard IP infrastructure. It removes the need for heavy analogue cabling, making systems easier to expand, simpler to fault-find and less expensive to install in both new-build and retrofit projects.
Can audio and PAVA systems share the same network?
Yes. Where paging integrates with voice alarm, TG Baker ensures full compliance with BS 5839-8 and EN 54-16. A single control interface can manage background music zones, live announcements and meeting room audio alongside life-safety voice alarm.
What types of commercial audio do you install?
We install distributed speaker systems, background music, paging, conferencing and AV integration for commercial offices, stadia, NHS facilities, education buildings and retail environments. Every system is designed for reliable coverage and clear intelligibility.
